Sheezan Khan Will Appeal The Vasai Court’s Rejection Of His Bail Application In The Tunisha Sharma Death Case

Tunisha Sharma Suicide Case: A court in Maharashtra’s Palghar district denied actor Sheezan Khan’s bail application on Friday, accusing him of abetting his co-star Tunisha Sharma’s suicide. Additional Meetings Judge R D Deshpande denied relief to the 28-year-old man, who was detained on December 25 and is now being held in judicial custody. Advocates Shailendra Mishra and Sharad Rai, who represented Khan before the Vasai court, later stated that they will appeal the verdict to the Bombay High Court.

Tunisha’s family’s lawyer, Tarun Sharma, opposed bail for the actor, telling the court that Khan’s mother was also implicated in the case. He had also applied to the Mira-Bhayandar, Vasai-Virar police commissioner to declare Khan’s mother a co-accused in the case, according to attorney Sharma.

The court denied Khan’s bail application after hearing both sides. A comprehensive order will be issued later. Sharma (21), who co-starred with Khan in the television drama ‘Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul,’ was discovered hanging in the lavatory on the set of the Hindi serial near Vasai, on the outskirts of Mumbai, on December 24. She was in a relationship with Khan, but they eventually parted up.

Speaking to the media outside the Vasai Sessions Court, attorneys Mishra and Rai stated that they will appeal to the Supreme Court against the ruling rejecting their client Khan’s bail application. They stated that they will raise pertinent points in their argument before the High Court in order to get the Vasai Sessions Court’s order overturned. “We still have a lot of options,” Mishra and Rai said.

According to them, the court contacted both counsels and informed them that their client’s bail application had been denied. “In my considered opinion, Tunisha’s breakup is an admitted position. She had a panic attack the next day. She was irritated after that. She was last seen in CCTV footage with Sheezan after the attack and on the day of the incident (December 24). As a result, in my considered view, I am dismissing the bail petition,” the judge was reported as saying by the counsels.

Mishra and Rai stated in court that they preserved the specifics of an incident on December 23 (the day before the TV actor’s claimed suicide) “when her mother was called and what was told to her” before the court.

“We will bring all issues before the Supreme Court, including the final call she made to her mother and the dating app issue,” she said. “Also, a fresh development has emerged: Tunisha’s laptop has yet to be recovered,” the defence counsel claimed. According to Tarun Sharma, who represented Tunisha’s family, the refusal of the accused’s bail application was not a significant triumph for them. He stated that the true victory will come when Tunisia receives full justice.

He stated that they will continue to oppose any form of release for Khan. “Police had done a good investigation from day one due to which the bail plea was rejected. “The investigation agency supplied pertinent CCTV evidence and witness accounts,” Tarun Sharma insisted.

The defence attorneys’ arguments were based on news items that the judge deemed “immature,” he claimed. “The court depends on police investigative documents. “They (Khan’s lawyers) should make sure that their future arguments (before HC) are based on documents and proof, not media reports,” Tarun Sharma said.

During arguments, the lawyer stated that he employed the “last seen theory” (in which the accused is the last person seen with the victim) and relied on particular HC and Supreme Court decisions. This premise was acknowledged by the sessions court when it denied the bail application, according to Tarun Sharma.
