RRR’s Golden Globes Win Has Elicited Reactions From Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, And Rashmika Mandanna

On Wednesday, India celebrated alongside the team of the hit Telugu film RRR as it received its first Golden Globes award. As the song was announced as the winner, director SS Rajamouli, actors Jr NTR and Ram Charan, and composer MM Keeravaani were present. Several Indian celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan, Venkatesh Daggubati, Alia Bhatt, and Rashmika Mandanna, took to Twitter to congratulate Naatu Naatu on its historic win.

His RRR co-star Alia Bhatt celebrated the award by posting a video of the win on Instagram Stories and using red heart emojis. In the period drama, she plays Sita, Ram Charan’s Rama Raju’s fiancée. “Heartiest congratulations to @mmkeeravaani, @ssrajamouli, and team RRR for bringing home the golden globe for best original song,” Ajay Devgn, who also stars in the film, wrote alongside the video of the category’s announcement.

“Absolutely phenomenal win!!” wrote actor Venkatesh Daggubati. Congratulations to @mmkeeravaani gaaru and team, as well as the entire RRR team, for making history right here!” Mahesh Babu, who is currently working on a project with SS Rajamouli, tweeted, “Watching the world cheer for an Indian film is a dream come true!!” This year couldn’t have begun any better!
