Radhika Madan Acknowledges Television As Source Of Learning Amidst Criticism

Popular actress Radhika Madan, known for her remarkable talent in both the television and film industry, recently praised the television industry and highlighted how her experiences on television have played a significant role in her career growth. This comes after her previous expression of concerns about the late working hours on TV sets, which received criticism from industry figures such as Ekta Kapoor and Sayantani Ghosh.

During a recent interview on Siddharth Kanan’s chat show while promoting her film “Kacchey Limbu,” Radhika credited her learnings from television for contributing immensely to her career. She stated, “I have learned everything from television. What you can learn on TV, you can’t learn anywhere else.” Additionally, Radhika shared her surprise at the number of fan followers she garnered as a television celebrity, emphasizing the love and support one receives from television.

Despite receiving advice to stay in television for a few more years, Radhika took a leap of faith and started from scratch. She acknowledged the challenges but expressed her determination to follow her dreams.

In a previous interview, Radhika revealed working long shifts of 48-50 hours during her years as a TV actor. She shared instances where she would be asked to come to the set without a script, with the directors making last-minute changes to the scenes. Radhika also mentioned how her suggestions about her character were often dismissed, with directors indicating they would consider such input for a film but not a TV serial.

Radhika Madan’s film “Kacchey Limbu,” directed by Shubham Yogi and produced under the banner of Jio Studios and Mango People Media, features her in the role of Aditi, the younger sibling, while Rajat Barmecha portrays Akash, the older brother. The film also stars Ayush Mehra and began streaming on JioCinema on May 19, 2023.
