Big-Budget Filmmakers Have Nightmares RGV Applauds “Kantara”

Kantara, a Kannada epic, has been a huge box office success, following in the footsteps of Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan-I. Rishab Shetty’s film, which was released in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil, is currently making waves in theatres across the country.

More than Rs 100 crore has been made from the film’s worldwide release, and it is still doing well. Director Ram Gopal Varma has joined the chorus of people praising Kantara by tweeting a series of glowing remarks about her.

In a social media post, Bhoot’s director stated that Rishab Shetty’s film’s financial success disproves the notion that only blockbuster movies with massive budgets can attract audiences.

He stated in a tweet “@Shetty Rishab dispels a common misconception among Hollywood filmmakers by debunking the assumption that only extremely expensive films can attract audiences. #Kantara will serve as a poignant reminder for many years to come.”

Following that, RGV tweeted, “In the film industry now, @Shetty Rishab is like Shiva multiplied by Guliga Daiva, and the villains are the 300, 400, and 500 crore budget filmmakers who are being killed by a heart attack called #Kantara collections.”

In another tweet, he stated: “The collections of big-budget movies keep waking up like Shiva approaching Guliga Daiva night after night because of the DEVIL known as @shetty rishab. Finally, he expressed gratitude to the actor and director for the “wonder lesson called Kantara,” adding that “everyone working in the film industry will have to pay you tuition fees.””

We completely agree with RGV’s assessment. Kantara, for those who haven’t seen it, is a film about a fight between a Kambala champion (Rishab Shetty) and a Forest Range Officer (Rajendra Kumar) (Murali Ghatge). The action takes place in rural coastal Karnataka (Kishore).

It’s worth noting that the film has the highest IMDb rating of any Indian film, surpassing titles like RRR by SS Rajamouli and KGF: Chapter 2 by Prashanth Neel.

When do you intend to watch Kantara? If that’s the case, please share your thoughts in the comments section below.
