Remembering Bishan Singh Bedi

Bishan Singh Bedi, born in Amritsar on September 25, 1946, began his cricketing journey in 1966, representing the Indian cricket team until 1979. Throughout his illustrious career, he participated in approximately 67 Test matches, claiming 266 wickets. In the ODIs, Bedi showcased his skills by taking seven wickets and played a pivotal role in leading the Indian team to victory in the 1971 series against England. At the time, he was appointed captain after Ajit Wadekar suffered injuries.
