Two significant releases, Varisu by Thalapathy Vijay and Thunivu by Thala Ajith, have competed for the attention of their fans. The Tamil film industry has been experiencing competition at the box office. Vijay’s family flick Varisu has outperformed Thala Ajith’s action movie Thunnivu. Varisu, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, is rumoured to have earned Rs 26.5 crore on its first day of release, while Thunivu is estimated to have earned Rs 26 crore.

According to Sacnilk, the movie Thunivu has grossed Rs. 17 crores in Tamil Nadu, Rs. 5 crores in Karnataka, and Rs. The film was able to achieve a 67% opening-day occupancy rate. If rumours are to be accepted, tickets worth Rs. 7 crores have already been pre-sold. Thunivu and Varisu received mixed reviews, but Vijay’s film dominated the box office.

The final film released by Vijay, Beast, was made with a substantial budget, however it failed to win over audiences.
