“Thank God” Opens Better Than Akshay Kumar’s Ambitious “Ram Setu”

During the Diwali holiday season in 2022, two films starring different Hollywood A-listers will compete for ticket sales.

Both Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn appear in these films, “Ram Setu” and “Thank God.”

A man and Chitragupt play the game of life in “Thank God.” Thank God is a drama about a man who plays life’s game with Chitragupt, whereas Ram Setu is an action-adventure film about an archaeologist on the hunt for Ram Setu.

Advance ticket sales for both of these films have begun in recent weeks, and after the first day of sales, the Ajay Devgn-starrer is ahead of Akshay’s film.
Ram Setu reportedly earned Rs 5.29 lakh on the first day of advance booking. According to reports, this was the result of the sale of 1892 tickets.

Thank God, on the other hand, made 5.5 million rupees (2,102 dollars) from 2,102 ticket sales.

Despite Thank God’s lower ticket prices, Ram Setu is expected to generate more revenue in the long run due to advance booking. This is due to the small difference in technological advancements between the two films.

The genre of Ram Setu also makes it more likely to succeed in AMCs than Thank God, which may be the box office champ in B and C theatres. This is because the protagonist of Ram Setu is a fugitive gangster.

In areas where advance booking has not yet begun, Thanks be to God is expected to be the most popular option.

Despite this, advance ticket sales for both films have been disappointing, especially given that the holiday season is in full swing.

Sooryavanshi, starring Akshay and Ajay, had a much larger opening weekend gross of Rs. 26.29 crore the previous year; however, Sooryavanshi was a much larger film, and neither Ram Setu nor Thank God has the same potential as Sooryavanshi.

The goal would be to earn a total of thirty crore rupees for both Ram Setu and Thank God on the day after Diwali, which has traditionally been the most successful in Bollywood for box office sales.

In Abhishek Sharma’s Ram Setu, Jacqueline Fernandez co-stars with Satyadev and Nushrratt Bharuccha.

Indra Kumar’s Thank God stars Sidharth Malhotra, Rakul Preet Singh, and others.

Both films will have their world premieres on October 25, 2022.
