“Take Off Your Top…” Jiah And Sajid Khan Tragic Split
Sajid Khan, a Bollywood comedian and director, has been at the centre of much controversy since he was reintroduced to the industry by being invited to participate in the most recent season of Big Boss, following allegations of sexual misconduct by the #MeToo movement.
Many Bigg Boss 16 viewers have expressed their displeasure with the show’s decision to feature a celebrity who has been accused of sexual misconduct as part of the #MeToo movement.
Several young Bollywood actresses have accused the director of sexually assaulting them in their twenties and thirties. Saloni Chopra, Mandana Karimi, and Aahana Kumra are among them.
Sajid Khan, on the other hand, had a disastrous encounter with the late Bollywood actress Jiah Khan. Jiah Khan was abused by Sajid Khan.
Jiah Khan’s sister Karishma allegedly told filmmakers what happened when her brother met Sajid, and the story was told in the BBC documentary “Death in Bollywood.”
Sajid Khan’s role in Jiah’s problems was revealed in the 2021 documentary, including his alleged assertion that Jiah’s sister was the one seeking sexual activity. The documentary’s premiere date is set for 2021.
Karishma Khan, Jiah Khan’s sister, stated in the documentary that Sajid Khan forced her to remove her top and bra while reading scripts. Karishma was engrossed in the scripts at the time.
Jiah had cried uncontrollably upon her return home, she later revealed.
“While she was reading the scripts, he asked her to remove her top and bra so they could go over the scene again.” She was at a loss for words, and it sounded as if she said, “the filming hasn’t even begun yet, and this is happening.” She burst into tears at home. Karishma added
Jiah was contractually obligated to appear in the film, and she had no choice but to do so if she didn’t want to face legal consequences.
Sajid, on the other hand, was accused of harassing Karishma.
When I was around 16 years old, I went to Sajid Khan’s house with my older sister and remember sitting at his kitchen table. I was just leaning over the table in a strappy top when he said to me, “Oh, she wants s*x.” I was taken aback by his remark. My sister Jiah immediately jumped to my defence, asking, “No, what are you talking about?” “Look at the way she’s sitting,” he says. My sister retorted, “She’s still a kid; she hasn’t decided what she wants to do yet.” “We left not too long after that,” Karishma continued.
Mandana Karimi, an Iranian-Bollywood actress, had previously stated that she would be leaving the industry in light of Sajid’s return.
As Salman Khan revealed on Big Boss, the infamous filmmaker Sajid Khan has joined the competition, to the delight of the audience. Because of the lack of respect she felt she received as a result of her gender, the actress had to make the difficult decision to leave Bollywood.
Karimi claims that when she met Sajid Khan for Humshakals, he asked her to strip naked before they could talk.
“If I like what I see, you might get the part,” he reportedly added.
Mandana then stated that she would no longer work with Sajid under the Bollywood banner if he was reinstated in his previous position.
“To be completely honest, his reemergence into the spotlight does not surprise me in the least. Most people nowadays have the attitude, “I’ll bury my head in the sand.” Who cares if it’s beneficial or not as long as it makes me money? Given this, it’s easy to see why the #MeToo movement fizzled out in India and elsewhere.
A small group of women arrived and made brief comments before departing. How far does this action extend? Who or what is refusing to accept them into their circle? There will be no action. Since we’re discussing the larger industry, anyone can be anyone to anyone: mother, boyfriend, girlfriend, husband. I’ll scratch your back the same way you scratch mine.
After the MeToo movement gained traction in India that same year, several women in the industry came forward to accuse Sajid of sexual misconduct. Sajid’s time working in the field is the source of the accusations.
Mandana Karimi, Saloni Chopra, Rachel White, Simran Suri, Marina Kuwar, Aahana Kumra, Dimple Paula, Sherlyn Chopra, and journalist Karishma Upadhyay were among the celebrities who spoke out on the issue.
Jiah Khan’s suicide was the subject of a BBC television documentary titled Death in Bollywood (2021). Jiah’s sister Karishma Khan accuses Khan of harassing her sister in the months leading up to Jiah’s death in this documentary. The BBC produced and aired the documentary.
Sajid Khan was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, to actress Menaka Khan and late actor Kamran Khan’s wife.
