‘She Was Sobbing On The Floor…’ Prince Harry Recalls Kate Middleton Making Meghan Markle Cry Days Before Their Wedding

In his upcoming memoir Spare, Prince Harry will recount the drama that erupted between his wife Meghan Markle and his sister-in-law Kate Middleton just days before his wedding to the former actress. Meghan had previously discussed the incident with Oprah Winfrey, and had denied reports that Kate had been reduced to tears following an altercation.
The disagreement occurred in 2018 over Princess Charlotte’s wedding gown for Harry and Meghan. Harry wrote that Kate was offended when Meghan said that she, Kate, had “baby brain” due to hormones after giving birth. Kate informed Meghan that they were not close enough for her to make such remarks. “The book makes clear that Meghan felt the fallout wasn’t her fault, but it doesn’t exactly make her look very good,” a source told the Daily Mail.

The drama heightened when Kate texted Meghan that Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid gown was too small and would have to be remade from scratch. Meghan didn’t respond right away, Harry noted, because she was dealing with the drama surrounding her father, who had sold staged photos to the tabloids in order to profit from the wedding.
“Meg asked if Kate was aware of what was going on right now,” Harry wrote in an excerpt from the book, according to US Weekly. She was with her father. Kate stated that she was aware, but the dresses. ‘And the wedding is only four days away!’ “A short time later, I returned home and discovered Meg on the floor. “Sobbing,” Harry continued, noting that Kate did not mean ‘harm’. “I was horrified to see [Meghan] so upset, but I didn’t consider it a disaster… Kate did indeed come by the next morning with flowers and a card saying she was sorry.”
