Sona Calls Farhan Akhtar “Shameless MARD” for Cousin Sajid Silence.

Sona Mohapatra, Sajid Khan’s cousin, has come out against her actor and director uncle Farhan Akhtar, accusing him of remaining silent in the face of #MeToo allegations.

She turned her attention to Farhan after successfully attacking Salman Khan for inviting Sajid to Bigg Boss 16, despite the long list of women who have spoken out against the Housefull director. But that didn’t stop her from harassing Salman Khan.

The famous singer was unapologetic in her criticism of Big Brother 16 host Salman Khan’s decision to include contestant Sajid.

“My old Twitter foe, #SalmanKhan, persists in whitewashing the BRO-HOOD by whitewashing his own toxic masculinity with #BeingHuman despite being anything but,” she tweeted. It’s all about #SajidKhan today. (With the watches, food truck, and surgery gifts, he’s already signalling his virtue; he’s upping the ante.)

Please read through the thread that I’ve linked to below. Any and all women willing to share their stories and/or photographs are welcome. The current justice system is unprepared to deal with the systemic abuse that occurs in our industry; please take note, @NCWIndia @PMOIndia @narendramodi @smritiirani @KirenRijiju. #SajidKhan”

Mohapatra went on to call Farhan “shameless” for remaining silent in the face of the allegations levelled against his cousin brother. Despite the fact that Farhan is a UN Women India ambassador and the founder of MARD (Men Against Rape and Discrimination), an organisation that aims to “instil gender values in young men,” he was targeted. Mohapatra said this after previously calling Farhan “shameless” for remaining silent in the face of the allegations levelled against his cousin brother.

“Obviously, we haven’t heard from the star voice for women’s causes in #Bollywood who was also shameless enough to become @unwomenindia Ambassador for South Asia (?!): Mr. FarhanAkhtar. #SajidKhan not young enough?” she tweeted.

What are the qualifications for potential “ambassadors” for “our” cause, dear @unwomenasia?

Do you want to make an impression at MARD?

Do you have a powerful “Daddy” who can lobby in politics on your behalf?

Are you sexually abused on a regular basis by someone you refer to as a “brother”?

Is this someone who keeps their mouth shut when things get heated? #India 🧚🏿‍♀🔴”

In recent days, Mohapatra has shown unwavering support for the victims of Sajid Khan’s allegedly inappropriate behaviour.

Mandana Karimi, Saloni Chopra, Rachel White, Karishma Upadhyay, Aahana Kumra, Simran Suri, Jiah Khan, Sherlyn Chopra, and Dimple Paul are among those who have expressed their feelings for Sajid. It is a lengthy list.
