Sayantani Ghosh Addresses Radhika Madan’s Criticism Of The Exhausting Work Ethic In The Television Industry, Saying, Avoid Viewing Television As A Temporary Solution

Actress Sayantani Ghosh was unimpressed and dissatisfied after actress Radhika Madan made a sneaky dig at the work ethic of the television industry in a recent interview, as the latter had previously worked in the profession.

The 38-year-old actor tells us, “Every fraternity, whether it’s television or film, has its obstacles. In television, you work around the clock and the dynamics are different, whereas in film, you have the luxury of leisure.”

Ghosh states that one must produce daily episodes, implying that she did not like the way Madan’s interview tackled the topic of television.

The Naagin actor claims, “What I found in the conversation was a tone that appeared disparaging of the television industry. I am a tremendous fan of Radhika Madan, I appreciate her as a performer, and I am thrilled to see her transition from television to the film industry. However, the way that interview was interpreted and the point that she made are facts, and there is nothing to be embarrassed of. However, I have a problem with the way it was presented since, as a celebrity, whatever you say has an impact on others who hear it.” If someone asks Ghosh about the difficulties of television, she will not hide, but she will also acknowledge its benefits.

When asked why actors are looked down upon if they wish to return to television after acting in films, Ghost responds, “It is terribly unfortunate.” Don’t view it (television) as a temporary solution. You want to make a film but have to struggle for it, so you enter the television industry, earn money, and then try to make it big in the film community. This shouldn’t occur. I am not suggesting that you should not move on, but I do not believe that television is lacking in any manner. The fame of television stars is tremendous.” She proposes that they should all coexist and that they all deserve respect.

The actor posted a brief clip of Madan’s recent interview on Instagram and said, “So sad to see the world of television belittled in this manner! This actor’s promising career began with a television show! The interviewee can be heard giggling in the background. “What a SHAME!”

Ghosh, who has been in the profession for close to two decades, responded to Madan’s interview by stating, “You are in a better position now, and I expected you to display grace wherever you go. Additionally, there have been occasions when TV actors have been looked down upon. And, as a proud flagbearer, I assert that television, like other industries, has both downsides and many positive attributes. The actor believes that television provides many artists and technicians with jobs, stability when a show runs for one or two years, and a learning platform.

The TV actor feels that if a person does not want to work on television, they should not, and that one should be aware of the benefits and cons of an industry. “Ya toh aao hi matt. After attaining your share of fame and wealth, refrain from demeaning a fraternity. Television deserves much regard.” Ghosh asserts she has no idea why people disdain television because the dynamics are very different and the tough work culture merely demonstrates how great television actors are. “We deserve a great deal more respect, and I’ve never seen performers look down on television.” People who work in television have been observed going to the movies and subsequently stating, “Humein TV nahi karna” Toh phir TV karo hi matt.”
