Sanjay Leela Bhansali, known for his directrial masterpieces like “Heeramandi” and “Baiju Bawra,” is gearing up to produce an enchanting love story featuring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mrunal Thakur.

Bhansali’s Busy Schedule

While Bhansali is presently engrossed in the shooting of his maiden Netflix series, “Heeramandi,” his upcoming directorial project “Baiju Bawra” is also in the pipeline, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. In the midst of his directorial commitments, Bhansali is juggling multiple roles as a producer, with one of his recent projects being kept tightly under wraps until now.

Directorial Talent on Board

Ravi Udyawar, known for directing the late Sridevi in the National Award-winning film “Mom,” has been entrusted with helming this movie. Ravi has previously worked with Siddhant in Excel Entertainment’s action drama, “Yudhra,” set to hit theaters early next year. Besides, he is also working on “Ramayana” with Nitesh Tiwari, but his involvement in the ambitious three-part epic will follow the completion of the Bhansali production.

Filming Plans

Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mrunal Thakur are set to commence shooting for Ravi Udyawar’s film in the first quarter of 2024. Before embarking on this project, Siddhant will wrap up Dharma Productions’ upcoming love story with Triptii Dimri, while Mrunal has a slew of commitments down south, including the Telugu film “Hi Nanna” and Vijay Deverakonda’s “#VD13.” She will also join the cast of A.R. Murugadoss’ Tamil action entertainer with Sivakarthikeyan by the end of the year.

Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mrunal Thakur both have promising projects in their respective pipelines. Siddhant stars alongside Ananya Panday and Adarsh Gourav in Arjun Varain Singh’s friendship story, “Kho Gaye Hum Kahan,” and also has Excel Entertainment’s “Yudhra” on the horizon. Meanwhile, Mrunal has Raja Krishna Menon’s war drama, “Pippa,” and Navjot Gulati’s thriller drama, “Pooja Meri Jaan,” alongside three upcoming South Indian projects at various stages of production.
