‘Salman Khan Beat Me Up And Berated Me In Front Of My Friends,’ Says Somy Ali Of The “Worst Years” Of Her Life

Actress Somy Ali opened up about her relationship with Bollywood star Salman Khan in a candid Instagram post. She revealed how she had deleted an earlier post around the same subject because she had used a ‘profanity’ in it. She described the actor as having “the ability to be very good and extremely cruel at the same time” in another post.

In response to the most frequently asked question about what happened when she and Salman were dating, she wrote that it was the “worst years” of her life. “In addition to numerous affairs and flings, he would constantly make fun of me by calling me ugly, stupid, and dumb. He never stopped making me feel worthless and insignificant. For years, he refused to acknowledge me as his girlfriend in public, and when he did, he insulted me in front of his friends and berated me nonstop,” she wrote.

She added that she has no qualms in admitting that given his treatment to her, she chose to have affairs that can be defined as ‘a search for someone who would care for me and love me’. However, these men took advantage of her, and when the Bollywood bhaijaan found out, he would ‘beat her up’.

“Someone who would not insult me and would actually be nice to me,” the note said. Unfortunately, I was unaware that these men were simply using me, and that with each affair, I was building a future for myself while being used. When Salman discovered these affairs, he had the audacity to beat me and tell me that I am a man and only men can cheat, not women. I was shocked by that statement and the sexism it emitted. Let us not forget that just because Salman or anyone else is nice to you does not mean they are nice to everyone else. In terms of verbal, sexual, and physical abuse, I had it the worst.”

In another lengthy Instagram post, she described Salman Khan, even mentioning his feuds with Arijit Singh and Vivek Oberoi. “There is no black and white,” she wrote. Because we are all grey, Salman can be very kind to some actors or pets while being brutally ruthless to another human being. Aside from his negligence in what was happening in Rwanda during his presidency, I consider Bill Clinton to be one of our best presidents, but remember what he was doing with his intern, Monica Lewinsky.”

“The point is that, while Salman may be the nicest and kindest person to others, that does not mean he was the same to me or others. He uses his power to demolish careers, such as that of an exceptional singer or Vivek Oberoi, an excellent actor. This demonstrates his ability to be both very good and extremely cruel at the same time. We all do because that is how we are wired, and we all have the ability to be very nice to one person and put on a show of generosity while we all have a little evil in us. But, given what I went through, this is on a different level, and it has all started again after 20 years.”
