Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal Release Delayed To December 1st: Bhushan Kumar Reveals The Reason

The year 2023 has proven to be an exciting one for cinema enthusiasts, with the release of highly anticipated films such as ‘Pathaan,’ ‘OMG 2,’ ‘Dream Girl 2,’ ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,’ and ‘Gadar 2.’ These movies not only hit the screens but also shattered box office records. Amidst this cinematic extravaganza, another film that fans have eagerly awaited is ‘Animal,’ starring Ranbir Kapoor. However, the film’s release date has been pushed to December 1st, and Bhushan Kumar, the head of T-Series and the film’s producer, has revealed a key reason for this delay.

The Real Reason Behind the Delay

In an exclusive interview with India Today, Bhushan Kumar shed light on the actual cause of the release date shift. According to him, ‘Animal’ is a remarkable film crafted by the talented director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. While the film’s final release date is set for December 1st, the initial release had to be postponed due to some pending work on the film.

Taking a Cue from ‘Jawan’

"Producer Bhushan Kumar opens up about the postponement of the highly anticipated film 'Animal,' starring Ranbir Kapoor. Find out why the release date was moved to December 1st."

Bhushan Kumar drew a parallel with another successful film, ‘Jawan,’ and explained, “If you see, the advance booking for ‘Jawan’ was tremendous in the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh markets, which are part of the South Indian market. Interestingly, the director, actors, and heroine of ‘Animal’ also hail from the South. ‘Animal’ is a pan-Indian film, and we are planning a comprehensive multi-language release strategy, going beyond mere dubbing. Our aim is to promote it across the nation, akin to the approach taken for ‘Jawan.'”

‘Animal’ – A Musical Extravaganza

During the same interview, Bhushan Kumar unveiled another exciting aspect of ‘Animal.’ He revealed that the film boasts eight melodious songs. To ensure a wide audience reach, these songs will be dubbed in various languages, including Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. This intricate dubbing process, especially for Ranbir Kapoor’s vocals, contributed to the decision to postpone the release. However, Kumar expressed contentment with the delay, given the encouraging resurgence of theatergoers and the promising signs for the box office.
