Ranbir Kapoor Talks About Breaking Up With Katrina Kaif And Dealing With Media Questions

Live is full of ups and downs, and while most people can deal with it privately, celebrities often face a barrage of questions from the media and fans. Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor has experienced this firsthand, particularly after his breakup with Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone, as well as the failure of his films at the box office. In a recently surfaced video, Ranbir Kapoor opens up about handling media questions that focus more on his personal life and controversies rather than his films.

Annoying or Enjoyable: Dealing with Media Questions

Ranbir Kapoor shares his thoughts on his breakup with Katrina Kaif and how he handles the incessant media questions about it. Despite the challenges, he finds a way to turn it into a new screenplay. Learn more about his perspective in this candid interview.

During an appearance on the AIB Podcast nearly five years ago, host Tanmay Bhat asked Ranbir Kapoor about his experience with the media during film promotions. Bhat amusingly remarks, “For the rest of the day, it’s going to be ‘How was it working with Katrina after a breakup?’ Eleven times over. What is the worst – is it annoying to deal with the media after a point?” Kapoor agrees that such questions have been a staple in his interviews and admits they used to be annoying, but now he finds enjoyment in them.

Not Caring About Misconstrued Statements

Ranbir Kapoor reveals that he has developed a carefree attitude towards media questions. He states, “It used to be [annoying]. Now, I’m actually having fun with it because I don’t care that much anymore. At one point, I used to care what I’ll say, how my work is going to get misconstrued, and what people are going to take from it. But now I realized, irrespective of what I say, I am going to get misconstrued. So just don’t care about it.”

Addressing Typical Questions and Creating New Screenplays

Kapoor acknowledges that he frequently faces questions about his past relationship with Katrina Kaif, working with her, nepotism, and his career flops, such as “Bombay Velvet” and “Besharam.” However, he notes that lately, he receives more inquiries about his work in Sanjay Dutt’s biopic and his father’s tweets. Kapoor humorously adds, “You know, these are like (all laugh and over talk). And why I am not on social media? These are the prototype questions I answer every time, and I try and make a new screenplay out of things, new answers.”
