She eventually entered the mainstream acting world with The Hero: Love Story Of A Spy alongside Sunny Deol. However, her debut film Andaaz faced a major setback due to her lack of dancing skills.

Challenges with Bollywood Dance


Producer Suneel Darshan revealed that Priyanka Chopra struggled to grasp the Bollywood style of dancing while filming Allah Kare Dil Na Lage Kisise. Despite efforts from both ends, the actress couldn’t deliver what was expected of her. The crew had flown to Cape Town for the shoot of the song, but due to the difficulties faced by Priyanka and Akshay Kumar’s personal commitments, the shoot had to be stopped, and the team returned to Mumbai.

Enrollment in Dancing Classes


To overcome the challenge, the makers decided to enroll Priyanka Chopra in dancing classes. Suneel Darshan enlisted the help of Veenu Prakash for her training. The break provided Priyanka with an opportunity to improve her dancing skills. After the training, the shoot resumed smoothly, and the film Andaaz was eventually released in 2003.
