MM Keeravani Makes History With Naatu Naatu’s First Golden Globe Win, Thanks To ‘Brother’ SS Rajamouli

On Wednesday, the Telugu film RRR won its first Golden Globe for Best Original Song for Naatu Naatu. On stage, composer MM Keeravani accepted the award. Jenna Ortega presented the category, and singers Taylor Swift and Rihanna were also nominated. The composer expressed gratitude to his fellow nominees Kala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj. He went on to say that the award belonged to filmmaker SS Rajamouli, whom he referred to as his “brother.”

RRR has won his first major Hollywood award. It has already won several ‘best of the year’ awards from critics organisations across the United States. When the title of the film was announced, the RRR table erupted in joy. Rajamouli, who is dressed in an Indian outfit, jumped with joy. Jr NTR and Ram Charan are also in attendance to represent the film.

While accepting the award, Keeravani expressed gratitude to the HFPA and expressed his gratitude for the honour. He also thanked his wife, line producer MM Srivalli, who was also present at the table. In addition, the composer stated, “This award belongs to someone else, not to me. I’m going to continue the tradition. SS Rajamouli, my brother and the film’s writer, is the recipient of the award.”

Keeravani also thanked everyone who contributed to the song’s international success, including his fellow nominees Kala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj. He also singled out the leads who “danced with all the stamina for the song”.

The film’s official Twitter account also announced the win with a photo of the composer and the caption, “LEGENDARYYYYYY MM KEERAVAANI!!” In the comments, fans congratulated the film and song.
