“Helicopter Eela,” directed by Pradeep Sarkar and produced by Ajay Devgn and PEN India Limited, is based on Anand Gandhi’s Gujarati play “Beta, Kaagdo.” The film tells the story of a single mother with aspirations of becoming a singer and her young son. The cast includes Kajol, Riddhi Sen, Rashmi Mal, Neha Dhupia, and Tota Roy Chowdhury, among others. Upon its release, the film received mixed critical reviews, but Kajol and Riddhi’s performances were widely praised.
