She requested permission from the Operations Head, Sohail Romani, to leave for two days to travel to Nagpur. However, he replied that she couldn’t leave, saying, “You cannot leave the shoot; if you do, you’ll see the consequences.

Jennifer fondly reminisced about her close bond with her brother, stating, “We were very close; we used to talk on the phone for hours every day. I couldn’t believe he would leave me.” On the day her brother passed away, her husband informed her during the shoot, and she left midway to be with her family.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Team’s Reaction to Jennifer’s Loss

Mandar Chandwadkar, also known as Bhide in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chahmah, informed producer Asit Modi about Jennifer’s brother’s death. After hearing the news, Asit Modi called Jennifer and inquired about her family. He then requested a meeting with her upon her return to Mumbai.

Jennifer expressed relief that this time she wasn’t asked to rejoin the shoot immediately, as they had called her back only four days after her father’s death. She returned to Mumbai after ten days and met Asit Modi, who treated her kindly and asked Sohail not to deduct her payment for the seven days she was absent. Jennifer tearfully recounted Sohail’s comforting words, “Her brother has died, but we have paid for his expenses.”
