Hasan Minhaj Unfollowed by Priyanka Chopra for Malala Joke.
In early October, comedian Hasan Minhaj appeared in a Netflix Special in which he joked that Malala Yousafzai, a female education activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner, follows him on Instagram but he does not follow her back. Minhaj is not a supporter of Yousafzai.
Following this, Yousafzai polled her followers to see if they thought she should unfollow him, and she did so after some time had passed. Priyanka Chopra has now unfollowed him to show her support and that she agrees with her.
They split up after she published an online story in which she called him “petty” and explained why she would no longer be following him. “That’s right, it’s the same @malala!” she wrote on Twitter. He appears to place less emphasis on humour and more emphasis on trivia. She mentioned Minhaj and Nick Jonas in an Instagram story, and she tagged both of them.
Minhaj made a joke about Priyanka Chopra’s wedding to Nick Jonas while hosting his special. When questioned about it, he stated, “The wedding that Priyanka Chopra allegedly had was a sham.” So why can’t we actually say that? Who marries Nick Jonas if they don’t have a sense of humour?
You should not assume that the three people in question are engaged in a heated online debate with one another because this is not the case. This is all a publicity stunt to get people to watch Hasan Minhaj’s Netflix special “Petty King,” which will be released later this year.
Minaj had posted a video with the caption “Okay it’s gettin’ outta hands” and tagged Malala before PC published that story. “On October 4th, I made a joke about Malala, who was awarded the Noble Peace Prize,” he can be heard saying. I told her that while she follows me on Instagram, we don’t share the same interests there. On October 5th, she retaliated by demanding that the mystery man be identified. Instead of arguing with me, she simply unfollowed me on Instagram.
“I’m sorry, Malala; please come back with me,” he says. To be honest, I’m not sure if I’ll continue to work with you. That’s how insignificant I am. On Instagram, Malala shared this information and expressed her gratitude to those who shared it with her, writing, “thank you so much because I am no longer following this man.” Chopra then told the group her story.
Fans think it’s a fantastic idea, and it’s a fun sneak peek at the comedy series Minhaj and Netflix are developing together. “This is the beef I had no idea I wanted,” one user commented. Reading this is making me hungry… it’s fascinating to watch this unfold. “@priyankachopra unfollowed we need one more reel on that!!” said someone else.
Perhaps Priyanka, Nick, and Malala will appear in his next special!
