Drishyam 2 Box Office Collection Day 32: Ajay Devgn’s Film Does Well On its Fifth Monday.

Despite the release of James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water last Friday, Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 2 is still making money. The film added Rs 5 crore nett to its total box office collection in its fifth weekend and then remained steady on its fifth Monday.
Drishyam 2 saw a very limited drop on Monday, earning Rs 75 lakh nett on day 32, according to Box Office India. This represents a 15% decrease from Friday collections. This brings the film’s total earnings to Rs 216 crore nett.
The week ahead looks promising, with a forecast of around Rs 7.50 crore nett business, according to the report. Despite competition from a biggie like Avatar, this is a very good number for week five.
Cirkus, which opens on December 23, will also compete with the film. However, due to the holiday season, Drishyam 2 may earn Rs 4-5 crore nett after the fifth, bringing the total to around Rs 225 crore nett.
Drishyam 2’s collections are as follows:
Week 1 – 1,023,700,000
57,16,00,000 in Week Two
Week 3 – $3,177,00,000
Week 4 – 18.92,00,000
Friday – approximately 90,00,000
Saturday – approximately $1,750,000
Sunday – approximately $2,25,000.00
Monday – approximately $750,000
Week 5 – approximately 5,65,00,000 (4 days)
TOTAL – Approximately $2,15,87,00,000

Ajay had told ETimes about the film’s success, “The box office of a film is gratifying. I am pleased that Drishyam 2 continues to outperform expectations at the box office in India and abroad. To be honest, I am as happy for myself as I am for the people who made this film—(Abhishek Pathak, director), Tabu, Akshaye Khanna, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav, Rockstar DSP (music director), and all the other co-actors and technicians—but I am also happy for the film industry because we are going through a difficult period. We need films, all films, to collect money because we need to keep the film industry running. There have been isolated cases since the pandemic. This is concerning for us as an industry. After all, only the box office can save the industry—whether we are actors, producers, directors, exhibitors, distributors, and so on.”
