According to reports, SS Rajamouli is in discussions with Bollywood star Deepika Padukone about casting her opposite South Indian superstar Mahesh Babu in his next film.

Her online fans are overjoyed by the news and can’t stop smiling in the aftermath of the announcement.
Comments such as “Make this happen plzzzzzz” and “Hope it’s a significant role” have been left. Aside from Eega and Bahubali, the majority of SSR films cast female leads in stereotypically small or flowerpot roles. We’re hoping that Deepika’s role will be more than just a cameo.
Because both Deepika Padukone and SS Rajamouli are CAA clients, one commenter speculated that the director was the one who negotiated Padukone’s casting. Meanwhile, acclaimed writer KV Vijayendra Prasad confirmed in an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla that SS Rajamouli’s next film with Mahesh Babu will be an action film, with filming set to begin in 2018.

Even though the rumour hasn’t been confirmed, let’s see if the next film will elicit the same kind of reaction and end result at the box office.
