“Chup Karvao!” Trolls mock Shanaya and Ananya’s accents.
Every day, as part of my job, I spend a significant amount of time scouring the internet for news stories that pique my interest enough to read more about them on various social media sites. This is how I support myself and my family.
It varies; sometimes I’m drawn in by political news, other times by stories of personal interest, but I mostly read about what’s going on in Bollywood.
Recently, I was scrolling through my social media feed when I came across a Bollywood video. It was a conversation between two young Bollywood stars, Ananya Panday and Shanaya Kapoor, and there were an unusually high number of trolling comments.
The two famous offspring were joking about their upcoming wedding.
“I believe you, Suhana, and then me,” Shanaya tells Ananya. When Ananya hears this, she asks, “Why have you like become a bachelor?” as they continue talking about the arbitrary timeline for their group’s weddings.
Even though the video is only a few seconds long, people had had enough of the two girls and wanted them to simply “stop talking” about how they wanted their wedding to be.
“Someone said it sounds like two huskies howling at each other,” one Redditor commented, “and this clip has never seemed normal after that.” To what extent does the South Boston neighbourhood have its own language? Is that truly the language of Ecole or DAIS graduates?

“This entire conversation sounds so fake, scripted, and staged,” one viewer wrote in response to the “super cringe” video. This section is lacking in citations. Some viewers speculated that the video could serve as the basis for a drinking game in which they would be required to take a shot every time Shanaya or Ananya said “like.”
In all likelihood, today’s celebrity offspring will struggle to achieve widespread acclaim.
