Ayushmann’s ‘Doctor G’ fee is 26% of the film’s budget.
Ayushmann | After a string of box office flops with Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui and Anek, Ayushmann Khurrana is hoping that his upcoming film, Doctor G, will reclaim his devoted audience.
In addition to Rakul Preet Singh and Shefali Shah, the film marks the directorial debut of Anubhuti Kashyap, Anurag Kashyap’s younger sister.
In the film, Ayushmann plays Dr. Uday Gupta, an aspiring orthopaedic surgeon, marking his return to the quirky comedy genre where he first found success. However, gynaecology, where he eventually finds employment, was not his first choice.
Doctor G’s trailer was well-received, so Ayushmann fans are excited for the film’s release.
The trailer suggests that the film’s budget will be comparable to the actor’s previous efforts in which she portrayed Vicky Donor. According to the most recent information, 35 crores of rupees were spent on its production.
Doctor G’s low production costs ensure that it will have a more secure theatrical run than the majority of this year’s Bollywood releases. In contrast, you may be surprised to learn that Ayushmann’s salary for the film accounts for roughly a quarter of the total budget. Yes, you have understood correctly.
The actor is reportedly seeking Rs 9 crore (approximately $25 million) for his role in Doctor 5, representing 25.71 percent of the film’s total budget. Even though it has not been formally recognised, the price is prohibitively high.
If you haven’t heard, the film has a “A” rating from the censors and will be released in theatres on October 14. The film studio responsible for the social comedy is called Junglee Pictures.
Ayushmann is currently working on a number of exciting projects, including An Action Hero and Dream Girl 2.
Anirudh Iyer is directing the film, and Aanand L. Rai is producing it. In the upcoming film, Ayushmann will play an action-oriented role alongside Jaideep Ahlawat. It will make its public debut this year, most likely in December.
Bala, the actor who will star in the sequel, is hard at work on the set. In the sequel, Anaanya Panday plays the lead female role. The film will finally be released in theatres on June 29 of the following year.
