Amitabh Bachchan Is Called “Chupke Chupke’s Weakest Link” by Dharmendra.

Director Javed Akhtar revealed a few days ago, on the occasion of Amitabh Bachchan’s 80th birthday, that Big B was the director’s last-ditch option for the lead role in Zanjeer (1973), after every other major star of the time, including Dharmendra, had declined the part. Big B was the only actor who accepted the role, according to Akhtar.

“#JavedAkhtar reveals that #AmitabhBachchan was the last choice for #Zanjeer; #Dharmendra, everyone else refused to do it because ‘its hero he was supposed to be a grim, serious, bitter person throughout the film,'” the tweet read. Even Amitabh Bachchan couldn’t say no.

Dharmendra

Unexpectedly, Dharmendra was drawn to the tweet, and his response piqued the interest of a large audience.

He shot back, “Javed, kaise ho……dikhave ki iss duniya mein haqeeqaten rah jaati hain. We’re in motion, so jeetey raho….. “Dilon ko gudgudana khoob aata hai….. kaash sar chad ke bolne ka jaadu bhi sekh liya hota…” says the proverb.

After Dharmendra’s tweet went viral, he clarified, writing, “Refusing Zanjeer was an emotional hurdle that I mentioned in aap ki Adaalat.” He was obviously aware that his tweet could cause some controversy. Please don’t misinterpret what I’m saying. Javed and Amit have my undying admiration and love.

Here are a few tweet examples:

Dharmendra appears to have courted controversy once more, this time by responding to a fan post in which he was accused of calling Amitabh Bachchan in the 1975 classic film Chupke Chupke the “weakest link.”

On the occasion of Amitabh Bachchan’s 80th birthday, a journalist reflected on the year 1975, when Big B appeared in a wide range of films.

Among the films in which he has appeared are Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Faraar, Zameer, Deewar, and even a cameo in Chhoti Si Baat.

Big B appeared as a supporting actor in two films starring Dharmendra: Sholay and Chupke Chupke.

“This fake adulation is laughable!” one reader said in response to the article. It was Dharmendra’s film, so you know he liked it. #ChupkeChupke Amitabh Bachchan would have been the weakest link in the film’s chain. Furthermore, in Sholay, Amitabh was not noticeably better than Dharmendra, and they were, at best, on par. Don’t trash @aapkadharam to raise the profile of someone else!

Dharmendra did not defend his former co-star or disagree with the fan’s assessment; instead, he thanked the user for the love and simply wrote, “So Sweet Love you Ajay.” This is an unexpected development.

Take a look at this recent tweet:

Dharmendra recently shared a Sholay image on Instagram to congratulate Amitabh on the upcoming release of Uunchai.

He told Amit he was writing “I adore you. I was informed that you will be working on an upcoming film with the RajShiri production company. Great . The most talented performer in collaboration with the most prestigious studio. Please know that you are in my thoughts and that I am sending you my best wishes.

Please see the following tweet from him:

The romantic comedy Rocky Rani Ki Prem Kahani, directed by Karan Johar, is Dharmendra’s next film.

The film is set to be released in March 2023. The film will also star Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Ranveer Singh, and Alia Bhatt.

Aside from that, Dharmendra will appear in Apne 2 and will co-star with Shah Rukh Khan in the upcoming film Dunki.
