Amitabh Bachchan Congratulates Abhishek Bachchan On His Best Actor Award For ‘Dasvi,’ Saying, ‘You Were Mocked, Ridiculed….’

Last night was the Filmfare OTT Awards 2022. It was a glamorous and talented night, with celebrities such as Anil Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Taapsee Pannu, Vidya Balan, Bhumi Pednekar, Harshvardhan Kapoor, and others walking the red carpet.
While ‘Rocket Boys’ dominated most categories and took home numerous awards, alongside other OTT projects such as ‘Tabbar,’ Abhishek Bachchan’s ‘Dasvi’ took home the ‘Best Film Web Original award. Abhishek also took home the award for ‘Best Actor’ in the Web Original Film category.
Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek’s father, is overjoyed with his Filmfare award win. “My pride.. my joy.. you have proved your point.. you were derided, ridiculed, mocked.. but you silently, without any tom tomming, showed your mettle.. you are and shall always be the BEST…. and remember WHTCTW..!!!” he wrote on Instagram.

Abhishek was praised by Bachchan for quietly proving his worth. Fans agreed and commented on Bachchan’s post as well. As one fan put it, “We should be sorry that we didn’t recognise Abhishek Bachchan’s worth earlier in his career. He reminds me of an aged whisky. His acting abilities are far more pleasing to the eye than those of some high-paid actors.”
Actors Neena Gupta and Sham Kaushal congratulated Abhishek on Big B’s post. Meanwhile, Navya Nanda emoji-ed a heart.
Abhishek Bachchan will next be seen in R Balki’s ‘Ghoomer,’ in which he plays a cricket coach to Saiyami Kher. Abhishek was also seen in the second season of ‘Breathe Into The Shadows’ this year.
