Ajith Kumar Fan Dies In Chennai After Falling From A Lorry During The Release Of Thunivu

Thunivu, directed by Ajith Kumar, was released on January 11. According to reports, an Ajith fan died during a celebration of the film’s release in Chennai. Bharath Kumar, a fan, was said to have gone to see Thunivu’s 1am show at a theatre and died after falling from a slow-moving lorry while celebrating Thunivu’s release. The film marks director H Vinoth’s third collaboration with Ajith and producer Boney Kapoor. Nerkonda Parvai and Valimai are two of their previous films.

“Bharath Kumar, a fan of actor Ajith Kumar, died after jumping from a slow-moving lorry on Poonamallee highways near Rohini theatre in Chennai. The case has been registered. He had come to see the 1 a.m. showing of the Thunivu film at the theatre: police officers, “ANI, a new news agency, reported on Wednesday.

According to reports, fans have been celebrating the release of Thunivu, which was released on the same day as Vijay’s Varisu. The Tamil film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Sarath Kumar, Jayasudha, Srikanth, Shaam, and Prakash Raj in addition to Vijay. Meanwhile, Ajith’s Thunivu, which also stars Manju Warrier and John Kokken, has received critical acclaim as one of his most entertaining performances since Mankatha (2011).

According to an excerpt from the Hindustan Times review of the film, “Thunivu is super entertaining as long as it plays out like a heist film, and a lot of credit goes to Ajith, who makes his anti-hero character so charismatic with his screen presence. However, the film is more than just a heist film; it also includes a subplot that serves as a social commentary on a current issue. As much as it attempts to bring attention to the issue, it also raises pertinent questions about the general public’s negligence. Fortunately, the message it wishes to convey is not overly preachy. Thunivu stays true to its genre of heist action, with the exception of the detour it takes in the second half to make its point. It has some cool, slightly out-there action stretches that work well. But it’s Ajith’s character, who exudes swagger from the start, who elevates this to one of his most entertaining performances since Mankatha (2011)…”

Ajith was most recently seen in Valimai, in which he played a cop pursuing an outlaw biker gang. Huma Qureshi and Karthikeya also appeared in the film. Along with the original Tamil version, the film was also released in Telugu and Kannada.
