As a result, it’s not surprising that, according to a FIFA document, Indians are the second-largest number of World Cup visitors to Qatar.

According to Berthold Trenker, Qatar’s chief tourism officer, many tickets have been sold to Indian fans, possibly because previous World Cup matches were held in more distant locations and Qatar is much closer to India.
