Actor Shahnawaz Pradhan Dies Of Heart Attack At 56

Shahnawaz Pradhan, known for his roles in films such as ‘Phantom,’ ‘Raees,’ ‘Mirzapur,’ ‘Tota Weds Maina,’ and many others, died of a heart attack (Cardiac Arrest) at the age of 56. While attending an event, the popular actor complained of chest pain, passed out, and was rushed to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital, where doctors were unable to resuscitate him.

Surbhi Tiwari, a TV actress who was in the hospital for her brother’s treatment, said she saw Shahnawaz being wheeled inside on a stretcher. He was admitted near her brother. Surbhi remembered overhearing the doctors say that they couldn’t find a pulse in Shahnawaz and that his heart wasn’t responding to any outside treatment. That’s when she found out Shahnawaz had bypass surgery a few months prior and had a heart attack at an event. She expressed her sorrow and regret.

Meanwhile, Rajesh Tailang, who co-starred with him in the iconic crime series Mirzapur, took to Instagram to express his grief. “Shahnawaz bhai aakhiri salaam! Mirzapur ke dauran kitna sundar waqt guzara aapke saath”.

Shahnawaz Pradhan portrayed the father of Golu (Shweta Tripathi) and Sweety in the first season of Prime Video’s popular drama Mirzapur (Shriya Pilgaonkar). The actor’s final rites will take place in Mumbai on Saturday.
