The horror film “1920: Horrors of the Heart” had a decent second Sunday at the box office, collecting 82 lakhs. Expectations were high that the film would reach the 1 crore mark on its 10th day of release.
Competition and Short First-Week Run
Despite having a short first-week run of only six days, “1920: Horrors of the Heart” managed to exceed expectations. However, during the second weekend, the film faced competition from other releases such as “SatyaPrem Ki Katha” and regional films that diverted attention away from it.
Box Office Performance
The Krishna Bhatt-directed horror drama is yet to touch the 15 crores mark, which it was expected to reach on Sunday itself. Currently, the film stands at 14.62 crores. Considering the numbers, it is likely that the film will reach the milestone either today or tomorrow. Friday’s collection was 58 lakhs, and there is expected to be a dip in collections today.
Sustained Performance
Although the film hasn’t achieved its desired box office milestone, “1920: Horrors of the Heart” has performed well enough to generate steady gains throughout its theatrical run. The film starring Avika Gor was initially seen as an OTT release, but its theatrical success has revived interest in horror cinema from Bollywood.
