Fukrey 3 Gets a New Release Date, Set for December 1; The Archies Targets November 24

Over the years, the Fukrey franchise has gained immense popularity in the Hindi Film Industry, especially among the youth. While the first film was a moderate hit, the second installment surprised everyone by becoming a super hit at the box office. Fukrey Returns was released in 2017, and now, after a gap of six years, the team is ready to bring “Fukrey 3” to the audience. Initially, the producers had announced November 24 as the release date, but it has been exclusively revealed that the film will now release in December.

Release date options for Fukrey 3

According to sources close to the development, Fukrey 3 is considering two release dates: December 1 and December 8. However, there are higher chances of the film releasing on December 1. The team aims to maintain a winter release for this cult comedy, just like its predecessor Fukrey Returns. After discussing the options extensively in recent meetings, most of the stakeholders are in favor of a December 1 release. An official announcement is expected soon.

Balancing release schedules

To ensure sufficient gap between the releases of “Tiger 3” and “Dunki,” the team of Fukrey 3 decided to release their film three weeks after “Tiger 3” and three weeks before “Dunki.” This strategic move allows them to have ample breathing space. Meanwhile, another Excel Production, “The Archies,” is scheduled for a November 24 release. The release date for “The Archies” on the digital platform is determined by Netflix’s calendar. Excel Entertainment is set to have back-to-back releases in November and December.

Apart from the ongoing work on “Fukrey 3” and “The Archies,” Excel Entertainment is currently working on the scripts of “Don 3” and “Jee Le Zara.” These films will be directed by Farhan Akhtar.
