In a colourful and amusing TikTok video, Selena Gomez introduced a new cast member joining season three of Only Murders In The Building. Selena directed the video at Paul Rudd, who was shown to be the season three murder victim last year, while on set with her castmates Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Andrea Martin. The video, which revealed that filming had already begun, also revealed that Oscar winner Meryl Streep would be joining season three of Only Murders In The Building. Meryl appears from behind the couch in the video to ask the original trio of Steve, Martin, and Selena if they need anything.

While the amusing video shows Meryl mixing with the season three actors, her involvement in the season as a guest or full-time role has yet to be confirmed. The award-winning series follows three tenants of the Upper West Side building Arconia, Charles (Steve), Oliver (Martin), and Mabel (Selena), who find up investigating crimes in their New York City home. At the end of the season two finale last year, Paul was previously confirmed as a cast member named Ben Glenroy.

Meryl was most recently seen as the United States President in the Netflix satire film Don’t Look Up (2021). In 2019, she co-starred in the television series Big Little Lies with Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon. The three-time Emmy and Oscar winner will also feature in Extrapolations, an Apple TV+ anthology series starring Indian actor Adarsh Gourav.

The comedy-drama, written by Steve and John Hoffman, debuted in August 2021. The second season will begin in June 2022. In India, the series is available on Disney+ Hotstar.
