Superstar Shah Rukh Khan Sings The Praises Of A “Gentle Giant.” John Abraham, Responding To Rumours Of A Fight: “He Dubbed Me National Treasure”

In the upcoming action movie Pathaan, co-starring Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham, the two actors play antagonists to each other. Amidst speculation regarding their real-life feud, Shah Rukh has spoken out about his time in the studio with John. It was revealed that John did not punch him during filming and instead referred to him as a “national treasure.”

Pathaan is a Siddharth Anand film in which Shah Rukh plays a soldier who is called back to duty after a “hiatus” to stop a terrorist group led by John Abraham. Shah Rukh’s goal now has some company in the form of Deepika Padukone.

Now, in a conversation session about the film that was uploaded to YouTube by Yash Raj Films, Shah Rukh discussed the poor portrayal of John in the film. He recalled that he and John had been buddies ever since John moved to Mumbai. While Shah Rukh described John as “shy, very quiet and reculsive,” he expressed interest in watching the Pathaan adaptation.

Fortuitously, I crossed paths with him on numerous occasions while he was filming other projects and we were both interested in working together. I insisted that he take the job, and he graciously agreed to play a very villainous character. He’s a major player in the entertainment industry. To take on a picture where he is the bad guy, you know, so takes a lot of guts,” he noted, “especially since he has his own franchises occurring and he has these really fantastic action films happening.” Shah Rukh added that unlike most actors, he has no problem playing villains in movies, but John is an exception. Especially in the case of the Hindi film scenario, I see that it requires a great deal of self-assurance. Villains aren’t portrayed by heroes. If given the chance, I would relish the role of villain. Over time, I came to have tremendous admiration for him.

“It was a pleasure to work with him, and I came to appreciate his gentle giant nature. Remember when we were actually doing something together? He claims that he has assured me that he will not harm me by calling me a national treasure. Because I said it was fine, go ahead and do it. He’s pretty reserved, so I had to persuade him that a punch to the face wouldn’t injure me. In my opinion, he’s quite competent in the field. In terms of body language, he was a huge assistance. Quite generous of him, indeed. When working on a project with an experienced actor like John, I feel like I pick up a lot of useful tips and tricks from him. He is a huge star, and he respects me because of it “said the famous individual. When he left, he said, “I hope when Pathaan comes out, one of the most liked characters, actually is John’s. It takes a lot of courage to do what he has as an actor and a star, therefore I hope that he does well. In their first movie together, Shah Rukh gave John some of his professional advice.
