According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), Mumbai’s air quality was classified as’very poor’ yesterday, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 308. Delhi, which is notorious for its poor air quality, reported an AQI of 259.


According to experts, the smog levels are only going to get worse in the coming days due to the drop in temperature and stagnant winds. Mumbai’s visibility has been hampered by a thick layer of smog.
