‘Ayushmann Khurrana Returns’ Reactions to “Doctor G”

Doctor G, the highly anticipated and critically acclaimed film directed by Anubhuti Kashyap, has finally arrived in theatres today (October 14). After the critical and commercial failure of his most recent release, Anek, actor Ayushmann Khurrana, along with co-stars Rakul Preet Singh and Shefali Shah, returns to his go-to quirky genre with this film.
Doctor Uday Gupta (Ayushmann) in Junglee Pictures’ Doctor G aspires to work in orthopaedic surgery but instead practises gynaecology. The film focuses primarily on the difficulties he faced as a male gynaecologist.
Fans who have been patiently waiting to see Doctor G in theatres have begun posting their thoughts online, indicating that the audience review is now available.
Doctor G has received mostly positive feedback from internet users, who lauded the show’s social message, performances, and fun factor. Both Shefali and Ayushmann received positive feedback for their performances as their eccentric characters, with Ayushmann particularly standing out for his mastery of his eccentric role once again.
Some social media users, however, claimed it was a “one-time watch” and that it was predictable.
“#DoctorG clicks because of its social message, occasional laughs, and a BRILLIANT performance by @ayushmannk,” one audience member who saw the film tweeted. The overall concept is intriguing, but it requires improvement in execution, music, and serious writing. Both are extremely unprofessional and overtly moralistic. Shefali Shah delivered an outstanding performance.

Another social media user tweeted, “#DoctorG is a hilarious watch in theatres.” ayushmannk and, in particular, @ShefaliShah steal the show. In the second half, the argument veers away from the main point. However, the outcome is as expected. @anubhuti k’s debut performance shows promise.
