Here Are 9 Films And Shows Streaming On Services Like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Hotstar, And More This Week.

Time for your weekly over-the-top (OTT) update, and the next week has the ideal selection of films and television series to watch to fulfil all your bingeing needs. The upcoming romantic comedy starring Riteish Deshmukh and Tamannaah Bhatia. Both the long-awaited sequel to Plan A, Plan B, and the Zac Efron vehicle The Greatest Beer Run Ever are out this week. This week also sees the digital debut in India of Bullet Train, a Brad Pitt action film.

Minions: The Rise of Gru (September 28)

This film is the sequel to 2015’s Minions and the fifth instalment in the Despicable Me franchise. It is set in 1976, when Gru (Steve Carell), then 11 years old, and his minion minions set out to become famous supervillains. When Kevin Stuart and Bob’s miniboss is kidnapped by the Vicious 6 in San Francisco in exchange for the Zodiac Stone, they have no choice but to travel there in an attempt to save him. Gru, meanwhile, develops a friendship with one of his heroes and teams up with him to study the fundamentals of criminal enterprise.

Blonde (September 28)

This film version of Joyce Carol Oates’s best-selling novel Blonde explores the life of one of Hollywood’s most iconic figures, Marilyn Monroe, in a way that straddles the line between fact and fiction (played by Ana de Armas). It details her troubled childhood as Norma Jeane, her meteoric rise to fame, her romantic exploits, and more, and investigates the tension between her public and private selves. Along with Bobby Cannavale and Adrien Brody, the film also features Julianne Nicholson, Xavier Samuel, and Evan Williams.

Bullet Train (September 29) 

Brad Pitt stars as the title character, Ladybug, an inept assassin who is determined to redeem himself for a string of botched missions. In order to complete his latest mission, he boards the world’s fastest train. While racing through present-day Japan at breakneck speeds, he encounters lethal enemies from all over the world who are out to get him. Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Sandra Bullock, and Hiroyuki Sanada all star in the film adaptation of Maria Beetle’s 2010 novel of the same name.

Hocus Pocus 2 (September 30)

Hocus Pocus 2 is a follow-up to the Halloween classic from 1993, and it takes place in Salem, Massachusetts, again. At an antique shop, three students purchase the infamous Black Flame candle, which, when lit, revives the Sanderson sisters. In order to extend their lives beyond sunrise, the witches have begun hunting children for their vitality. As they spread chaos throughout the city with their newfound abilities, the town’s youth decide to join forces with the shopkeeper to put an end to the kids’ blasphemous behaviour.

Entergalactic (September 30)

This animated feature follows an artist named Jabari on his quest to balance romance and success among the winding streets of New York City. Eventually, his work allows him to move into his dream apartment where he meets his new photographer neighbour, Meadow. The two click instantly and start hanging out, realising the intricacies of the city together. As they fall for each other, Jabari and Meadow realise that accidental love is easy, but they need to find purpose in it together to make it real.

Karm Yudh (September 30) 

The arson attack on the Roy Group of Industries factory in Kolkata causes a power struggle within the Roy family. Members begin to turn on one another in their pursuit of wealth, power, and control, and bad intentions begin to dictate policy. Bhisham Roy (Satish Kaushik), the eldest son, and his sister-in-law Indrani (Paoli Dam) get into it, and Guru Shastri (Ashutosh Rana), the illegitimate son, gets in on the action, too. Due to the rising bloodshed, the city is in danger of becoming a bloody battlefield.

The Greatest Beer Run Ever (September 30) 

The film is based on a true story about a young man named Chickie Donohue (Zac Efron) who makes a bold decision during the Vietnam War. To show his appreciation for his neighbourhood pals who are serving overseas, he sets out to bring each of them a six-pack of their favourite American beer. This choice, however, forces him to confront not only the controversies surrounding this war, but also what it means to truly become an adult.

Plan A Plan B (September 30) 

Plan A Plan B is a romantic comedy starring Ritesh Deshmukh and Tamannaah Bhatia in which they play polar opposites who eventually learn to appreciate and love one another. Kosty (Deshmukh) is a divorce lawyer and a specialist in family law. As for Nirali (Bhatia), she is a professional matchmaker and a firm believer in the sanctity of matrimony. As soon as love is introduced, the dynamic between the two changes dramatically.

My Best friend’s Exorcism (September 30)

In this horror comedy from 1988, Abby and Gretchen, two high school sophomores who have been best friends since fourth grade, are at the centre of the story. One night, the two go exploring at an abandoned satanic ritual site and unwittingly open the gates to hell, allowing the devil to destroy everything they hold dear. Strange things start happening after Gretchen becomes possessed. Abby must now free her friend from the evil that plagues her.
